History
Scouts BSA Troop 420B began in May of 2005. A troop built on service to our community and outdoor activities. We have served the needs of our community by collecting food and turkeys for area food pantries. We have provided meals to those working in Habitat for Humanity. Our Eagle projects have including building a gazebo and outdoor Stations of the Cross for St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. We also have built and improved hiking trails in our surrounding communities.
Present
We currently have 21 registered scouts and look forward to continued growth along side of our linked Scouts BSA Troop 420G, Pack 420, and Crew 420. We provide the opportunity for scouts to earn their Religious Emblems in addition to assisting the Blue Ridge Council at various Cub Scout Camps.
Goal
It is our goal to provide a quality youth-led program consistent with the goals set forth by Scouts BSA and Lord Baden-Powell. Our leaders understand that every scout deserves a trained leader and that scouting should be fun with a purpose.
